Let me introduce myself

We are Rita and Vera Visscher.

On March 12, 2017, we took over the Quilt Kabinet from Earnewoude and started in Sneek on April 1, 2017 under the name of Atelier Quiltlokaal.

After a long search, Rita has found a hobby in the form of traditional quilting. The first steps were taken by taking lessons from Klazien Homans, then by following master classes by Ted Storm and Monique de Canne, among others, and workshops with various teachers so that she knows most of the techniques. She was also a board member of the Quilters Guild for a number of years, including the portfolio of regional coordinator in the Northern Netherlands, where she enjoyed attending the regional days.

Vera became infected with her mother's hobby and made a quilt as her final project in high school. She is currently a German teacher at secondary school and helps in the studio when possible. She has also attended various workshops and master classes and can convey this knowledge well.
