Workshop Poppyfield with Fanny Eikelenboom

During this 2-day workshop we will create this beautiful embroidery with application under the guidance of Fanny Eikelenboom.

Fanny has chosen a light plain cotton background for the example. Colored fabrics from e.g. wool/felt, velvet/velour and cotton (small prints such as dots and smudges). The applications are decorated with all kinds of embroidery stitches, beads, straps and ribbons.

During the first lesson you will receive the pattern and the pattern parts will be taken over and you will choose your fabrics. A start is made on arranging the flowers. Fanny teaches you about the different ways of appliqué.

During the second lesson you will start embroidering. Fanny always refers to the book: Creative Stitching by Sue Spargo, but of course you can also use your own ideas and embroidery books with different embroidery stitches.

This is a workshop without a sewing machine.

Costs: € 110,- incl. the pattern, coffee/tea with something tasty. Bring your own packed lunch, excluding materials.

1st day of classes: Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

2nd day of classes: Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
